About Surfside Pediatrics
Local to Melbourne, Florida, Surfside Pediatrics is a women-led pediatric practice. They are operated by Dr. Carolyn Feltus-Atkinson, MD, and Teena Sanders, APRN. While Dr. Feltus has been practicing since completing her pediatric training in 1989, she has been at Surfside Pediatrics since 2013. But this was after a seven-year medical leave that only added to her desire to heal. Her philosophy is based on her responsibility to not only treat patients when they are ill but to counsel the whole family in order to keep the children healthy and safe!
Dr. Carolyn Feltus’ partner Teena Sanders has been a certified pediatric nurse practitioner for over 30 years. She comes with the experience of working in neonatal and pediatric intensive care units, children’s hospitals and clinics, and the United States Air Force. Teena has a strong passion for education, hence her teaching experience and encouragement towards families being healthy! Together, these ladies offer experienced, personalized, evidence-based health care for your babies, from newborn to age 21!

Surfside Pediatrics offers a variety of basic pediatric services, as well as counseling for family members. Above all, they strive to keep children healthy and safe. The practice’s offered services include well visits, childhood illness management, respiratory infection treatment, developmental milestone screening, asthma management, stomach flu treatment, ear and eye infection treatment, headache and migraine troubleshooting and management, ADHD medication management, medication refills, chronic illness diagnosis and management, immunizations, acne, eczema, and rash treatment, sore throat treatment, sports injuries and sprain treatment, and sick visits. They also offer same-day sick visits and can help treat jaundice, lacerations, burns, baby acne, vomiting, abdominal pain, chest pain, pneumonia, croup, bronchitis, lice, pink eye, and more. All of these combine to ensure your little one gets healthy and stays healthy as much as possible.
